Search by ICD-9-CM classifications

Progressively narrow ICD-9-cm categories and sub-categories down to a specific cause of death. Further narrow the list by choosing the worksite of interest. All ICD-9-cm causes of death coded for this case will be displayed as individual records. The source of the cause of death information (autopsy report or death certificate), the relation to death (primary, secondary, contributing), and the severity (severe, marked, moderate, mild) are also displayed.

View observations by Relation to Death and Severity

Cases and pathology data are listed by case number. The ICD-9 cause of death, source of pathology information (autopsy report or death certificate), relation to death (primary, secondary, contributing), and severity (severe, marked, moderate, mild) are displayed.

Search by ICD-10 classifications

The USTUR has contracted a nosologist to professionally code its autopsy cases using the International Classisfication of Diseases (ICD) versions 9 and 10. Existing ICD-9-cm codes will be verified and ICD-10 codes will be available for all USTUR cases. ICD-9 and ICD-10 instruction manuals can be accessed from the Centers for Disease Control webiste: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/about/major/dvs/im.htm.
