USTUR 0207: Rocky Flats — No Recorded Intake
Intake
This Registrant worked at the Rocky Flats Plant for about 18 years. He had no recorded intake incidents.
Health Physics
This Registrant provided 24 urine samples during his 18-year employment period. These samples were analyzed for gross alpha, uranium, and 239Pu. All results were below the level of detection.
Four chest, one liver and two gut in-vivo analyses were performed on this subject between 1969 and 1974. The measured activities were at background levels.
The Registrant’s total external (penetrating) radiation dose was 2.345 rem.
Autopsy and Pathology
The Registrant died at age 74 y from what is described in the autopsy report as “severe bilateral diffuse bronchopneumonia with pulmonary infarction and organization.”
Portions of the right and left lung, thoracic lymph nodes, liver, kidneys, spleen, heart muscle, testes, thyroid, blood, tumor, rib, sternum, and vertebrae were taken at autopsy.
