USTUR 0095: Rocky Flats — No Recorded Intake
Intake
This Registrant worked at the Rocky Flats Plant for about 16 years. He had no recorded intake incidents.
Health Physics
This worker provided 10 urine samples while employed at Rocky Flats. These were analyzed for uranium. The results do not exceed the level of detection.
Five chest, one gut, and three liver counts were performed on this subject between 1969 and 1974. All results were at the background level.
The Registrant’s total external (penetrating) radiation dose was 1.644 rem.
Autopsy and Pathology
The Registrant died at age 60 y from respiratory and urinary tract problems, which were secondary to metastatic carcinoma of the distal colon.
Portions of the lungs, thoracic lymph nodes, liver, gonads, adrenals, and rib were taken at autopsy.
Tissue Analysis
All tissue samples taken at autopsy were analyzed for 239+240Pu and 241Am.
